Takashi stood on the side of the wolves. His eyes were like those of a wolf. He was starting to change. This was the battle that would determine who was on top. Wolves or vampires. The battle had raged on for years and years. Each time some one would reign supreme.The last battle ended with a tie. Many died in that war, but now it was time for another. He looked at the other wolves his eyes assuring them that things would be okay. He looked at the hill that seperated the two groups. He wondered how Kraven was preparing his own people.

He sighed and leaned back. He could already see the flash of claws and fang. The spilling of blood and the death of many from both groups. He lightly growled and glanced around. "Tonight will be a night to remember," he said loudly enough for the entire pack to hear. "Many lives will be taken for the sake of this battle that has been raging on for centries." He said. He stood up his eyes shinning with excitement and the thought of battle. "Wolves shall dominate tonight, just as we have for centeries." He smiled with a flash of fangs that would soon become deathly to anyone who wasn't of his kind.

Sky looked at his father. Even his own blood boiled at the thought of this war He was ready and had been waiting for his own chance to fight. He walked over to him. "I don't think Jay is going to attend tonight." He said quietly. He knew his dad wouldn't approve of it but he didn't know how else to put it. He looked at the hill and shuddered.

Bat was on the opposite hill. His eyes were focused on the others around. He wondered how many would die and how many would live. He grinned. They'll all suffer in the end. No one wants to get their hands dirty out here. He shrugged. Except for you, his darker side said. He walked over to the hill but stopped. He could hear talking. It was a voice he'd never heard buit it held authority. Eavsdropping on the wolves, how immature, he though as he turned and went back to sit on a tree.

Kazuya didn't stand on either side. As foolish as it sounded, he sat directly in between the two sides. He sat, looking up at the sky silently. Even though eveyone else there thought him to be a vampire, he knew for a fact that he wasn't. In fact...he hoped he might discover some other cross-breeds by doing this insane stunt. Of course, it was insane, so he kinda doubted it would work that well. He expected that soon someone would either tell him to choose a side, or come and tell him to leave.

Kai was looking at both sides. She couldn't choose ebcause it wasn't fair. Her mother's side or her father's side. She shook her head. "Why doesn't the fighting just stop," she asked quietly. She then spotted a guy at the top of the hill looking down at the two opposing sides just like she was. She walked over to him. "Hey," she said. "Why are you just sitting here by yourself?" She asked.

Kazuya looked at the little girl. Why...why is she here? She's just a kid! he thought in shock. "I'm not choosing a side. I'm a cross-breed, and I don't think I should have to pick. And if I have to, I'll fight for a third side of the cross-breeds by myself. I won't choose." He frowned, then asked "Why are you here? You're...you're just a kid."

Kai shook her head in understanding. She didn't want to choose either. "I'm also a cross-breed she said." She smiled. "I'm here because it's my duty to be here as both a wolf and a vampire." She sat on her knees infront of him. "I'm Kai." She said.

He gave a light smile and layed his arms across his knees. "I'm Kazuya." He frowned for a second, then said "You shouldn't have to choose sides. You know someone on both sides, don't you Kai? They shouldn't make you choose. That's not their right."

Kai shook her head. "I know. But it's the law of this battle." She said. "Maybe I'll join you," she said with a smile. "You seem nice." She looked at the two side. "My mother is wolf and my father is a vampire." She looked at him. "What about you?"

"Law's can change," he said plainly. He smiled. "You should. No cross-breed should have to choose sides." He frowned and looked down when she asked him if he knew anyone. "I don't know anyone on either side. I met the vampire leader Kraven once, but that's it. It's not enough to make me choose though. I don't know how I became the way I am, but as long as I'm like this, I'm neither one or the other. Therefore, I won't choose one side or the other. And since I can't be on both, I'll be on neither." He looked at Kai. "Do you know anyone else that's a cross-breed?" he asked. (you can tell he has no problem using that term.)

(So I've noticed. It brings me back to Rumiko and Kinaga)

Kai shook her head. "Only me," she said. She gave a shrug. "But my mother is a halfbreed though and so is my father. I think my odds would have turned out better if I had inherited their human sides instead," she said with a smile. She then looked at him. "You know we're called Hybrids right?"

Kraven looked at Bat noticing he still haven't fully control his dark side"Bat would like to take the sky to see if those mangy wolves are ready to fight"Said kraven looking at the rest of the Vampires

Kazuya tilted his head a little. "Are we? I didn't know that." He smiled. "No. I think it's good that you inherited their wolf and vampire traits. Maybe we can finally try to put an end to this warring. Will you help me? I'd hate to have to do this alone."

Micah stood next to Kraven. He wondered when Suri would arrive. He looked at the small kid called Bat and then up at the hill. Kai was up there with someone he didn't know. He wished that she didn't have to be their at the battle but it was her job. He looked at Kraven. "Does she have to choose?" He himself didn't even want to be there because Jay was on the other side of that hill.

"Well it is her choice But i'll prefer if she wasn't over in this fight because she is so young" Kraven said looking for suri" where could that boy be at this time Micah did you see suri around lately" said kraven starting to get anger
